Lined paper with doodles, the DWES logo and the words back to school night written on it

Join us for Back to School Night! Thursday, August 1st from 4-5:30pm drop off school supplies, meet your teachers and get information about bus routes, lunch accounts, PTO and more!

In order to reduce the number of people in any given space and help ensure a successful event, we will be holding two sessions and will be asking everyone to attend their specific session. If you have siblings in different classes, you may attend both sessions. Please note that our time is limited and we really must adhere to the strict schedule.

SESSION 1 (Last names A-L)

  • 4:00-4:40pm Find your homeroom classroom, drop off materials, meet your teachers,  (3rd-6th) receive your daily schedule, then follow your daily schedule to visit your other classroom(s). If you do not have another child and are not attending the second session, we appreciate your help in keeping our numbers low and freeing up parking spaces by exiting the school grounds.

SESSION 2 (Last names M-Z)

  • 4:50-5:30pm Find your homeroom classroom, drop off materials, meet your teachers, (3rd-6th) receive your daily schedule, then follow your daily schedule to visit your other classroom(s).

  • At 5:30 Sharp - Time for EVERYONE to go home and rest up for tomorrow!

If you are unable to attend the Back to School night, rest assured that on Friday (8/2), teachers will be emailing the same presentation shown to parents during the event.

In addition, our incredible Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) will be there to welcome our Roadrunners back with spirit wear and treats available for purchase. This is a great chance for you to stop by and find opportunities to get involved in your child's school and contribute to our wonderful community.

Also, several CCUSD departments will have tables set up in the MPR (Cafeteria) to help with any questions you might have. You can visit CCUSD Transportation, CCUSD Food Services, and Education & Community Services for Roadrunner Club (before/after school program) during our Back to School Night.

Parents will be notified of class placement on July 31st, the night before the Back to School night. The first day of school is Monday, August 5th!
